Vegas Baby!

I headed out to Las Vegas last week. Trish had a tech conference to attend so I had a 'cheap' place to stay. It was a nice break (I didn't ride the bike or even work out). My typical day;
  1. Wake up and eat breakfast with Trish
  2. Sign up for a Texas Holdem tournament
  3. Go back to the room and become slug-like until 10:00am when the tournament started
  4. Play in tournament
  5. Head to the $1 / $2 ante No Limit cash table after the tournament
  6. After 8 hours of playing poker, go out to eat with Trish
  7. Repeat the next day

I didn't do too bad either. I finished 2nd and 4th in the two Holdem tournaments I entered. I also won on the cash tables each day. By the end of the week, I was over $1,500 up! I drank way too much on Tuesday and really paid of it all day Wednesday...

I got back from Vegas last Friday, so I was rested for yesterday's race. It was your typical 4 corner crit. Nice and flat (false flat at the most). I raced in the 40+. I'm surprised at how well I felt; not tired or flat from not riding in a week. A break got up the road and I tried to get across a little too late. I came within ~5 seconds of catching but just couldn't do it. I took the field sprint for 12th overall.

Today is my Birthday and Trish gave me the Garmin 705! PowerTAP also recently anounced they will have a field upgrade available soon to be compatible with the 705. All the data you could ever want to look at! For those that know me, I get lost stepping out the front door, so I'm really excited to really go exploring on the bike and not have to worry about getting lost.
